Slay, Queen: A Homecoming Horror Story

Oct. 1-5 2025
Holbrooke Hotel

It’s 1995, and Woods Valley High is reviving its annual homecoming - this year at the historic (and infamous) Holbrooke Hotel. But the town can’t seem to shake its bloody past.

In 1980, the night of the homecoming dance ended in tragedy when newly crowned queen Alicia Appleseed was found murdered in her hotel suite. The prime suspect, young hotel clerk Joe Jenkins, was convicted and spent twenty years behind bars. He swore his innocence, and the evidence was always thin, but the town branded him a killer. This month, Joe walks free.

Now, on the 15th anniversary of that infamous night, the school has decided to bring homecoming back to the Holbrooke Hotel. Principal Harry Higgins assures the community it will be a safe and celebratory evening, with help from Coach Chadwick, guidance counselor Meredith Meadows, and a colorful cast of students.

The night promises dinner, dancing, and the crowning of the king and queen… but with tensions high and old wounds reopened, will it be a night of nostalgia... or the next chapter in the dance’s murderous legacy?
